About the Association

Rooted in the UK, reaching globally, and deeply engaged in China — a national-level comprehensive platform for overseas talent recruitment and offshore innovation, built by a team of doctoral graduates from leading universities worldwide.

I. Overview and Strategic Positioning

An international platform for high-level talent recruitment and the industrialisation of scientific and technological achievements, jointly founded by Chinese scholars from leading overseas universities, principal scientists and venture-capital specialists. We work around major national strategic needs and local industrial upgrading, serving as a cross-border bridge and a direct hub between China, Europe and the wider world in frontier science and technology, high-end talent and industrial capital.

The Union set a new standard among talent organisations in China: it is the only professional talent-recruitment institution in the sector whose partners and core operating team all hold doctorates from leading overseas universities. Headquartered in London, a core UK innovation city, it maintains a coordinated domestic network across key economic hubs — Zhejiang (Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Huzhou and others), Jiangsu (Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and others) and Guangdong (Shenzhen, Guangzhou and the Greater Bay Area). This underpins a mature, efficient end-to-end system of overseas pre-incubation, precision matching and rapid landing in China.

The Union’s core leadership includes scholars from the University of Cambridge, University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London, together with R&D leads from global technology companies and experienced angel investors — connecting top scholars with top scientists, and putting hard technology on the ground through experts who understand industry:

• Deep academic credentials: core members include Chartered Scientists (CSci), Chartered Engineers (CEng), Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and tenured doctoral supervisors at leading overseas universities;
• Mature industry matching: team members bring Fortune Global 500 R&D backgrounds and hands-on incubation experience, with a practical command of how frontier technologies move from lab to industry.

We work in depth within established research communities and leading laboratories in Europe and North America. The pool covers artificial intelligence, biomedicine, advanced materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, green energy and other bottleneck and emerging industries:

• 30,000+ Chinese specialists: tenured professors of Chinese origin at leading overseas universities, early-career principal investigators, and multinational R&D leads;
• 20,000+ foreign specialists: one of the few talent organisations in the country with first-hand access to a large pool of European and American academicians and leading scientists;
